Our LASIK Technology

LASIK Technology in Houston, TX

Dr. Hung Le has invested in the industry’s finest LASIK technology for his patients. The Wavelight’s revolutionary approach to laser eye surgery technology minimizes problems associated with older generation lasers, such as night vision reduction, glare, and halos.

At Le Eye Institute, we spare no expense to ensure we have the absolute state of the art equipment for both diagnostic and treatment for LASIK and PRK patients. In addition, we utilize the Countoura package for topography-guided LASIK and we are one of the few practices in the United States with the Phorcides enhancement software.

Alcon Wavelight® Refractive Suite

The Alcon Wavelight® Refractive Suite, utilizing the all laser FS200 Femtosecond Laser and EX500 system for a bladeless treatment.

By combining both the flap creation and the vision correction procedures into one ergonomically-designed unit, data transfer capabilities are enhanced, the time between procedures is minimized, and the patient has more comfort.

Refractive LASIK Suite

The Alcon WaveLight Refractive Suite is the fastest refractive surgery platform available in the United States.

The entire process is optimized and uses guided treatments, which means that patient-specific data is entered into the computer to create customized, precise vision correction treatment. The goal of every patient treated with the Alcon WaveLight Refractive Suite is vision beyond 20/20, something inconceivable prior to the development of this technology.

WaveLight® FS200 Femtosecond Laser

The WaveLight® FS200 Femtosecond Laser delivers precise and predictable outcomes. With the all-laser bladeless procedure, computer-controlled laser pulses are tailored to the optimal depth and position for your eye to gently separate the outer layer of the cornea from the layer being treated. The bladeless method provides advanced accuracy and superior control over the flap creation process, resulting in lower complication rates compared to the older method.

The WaveLight® FS200 Femtosecond Laser offers precise flap creation and adjustable settings — so you can rest assured that Dr. Hung Le can create the exact flaps you need for an individualized treatment.

And, because it is specifically designed to work with the WaveLight® systems, you can expect a seamless experience. Take advantage of the WaveLight® FS200 Femtosecond Laser today and enjoy a blade-free procedure that delivers excellent vision.

Contoura™ Vision Topography Guided All Laser LASIK

At Le Eye Institute, we are pleased to offer the next level in personalized laser vision correction with Contoura™ Vision Topography Guided All-Laser LASIK. Contoura isn’t the LASIK you think you know. Just like your fingerprint is completely unique to you, Contoura enables a vision correction treatment that is uniquely yours – tailored to your individual eyes.

The technology delivers extreme personalization by capturing 22,000 unique points in each eye to determine and treat your cornea’s every irregular curvature, thereby unlocking exceptional vision quality.

The result for you is being able to see sharp details, rich textures, and vivid colors every time you open your eyes. No other LASIK procedure available in the U.S. is this precise and individualized.

Contoura™ Vision differs from standard Wavefront-guided LASIK because it measures far more points of curvature on the cornea. While Wavefront-guided LASIK measures approximately 200 points of curvature, the Contoura™ Vision system measures 22,000 points, which allows for a personalized treatment plan based on contours unique to each patient’s cornea.

This ‘map’ is programmed into the laser used for LASIK, allowing Dr. Hung Le to smooth out any irregularities of the cornea for outstanding visual outcomes.

This is an exceptional option for patients with combined astigmatism and nearsightedness, thanks to its highly precise diagnosis of both corneal irregularities and refractive error.

Candidates for this advanced technique include patients who:

  • Are at least 18 years of age or older
  • Have a stable corrective eyeglass or contact lens prescription
  • May have up to but no more than 8 diopters of myopia
  • May have up to but no more than 3 diopters of astigmatism (or up to 9 diopters of myopia and astigmatism combined)

It will not release a pulse until it has returned to its original position.
